Task:
- Integration of the European business of an acquired competitor, incl. a production plant
- Fastest possible delivery to customers via own sales and distribution network
- Integration of IT systems in logistics (SAP)
Measures:
- Transfer and creation of customer and material master data in the company’s own ERP system before “Day 1”
- Inventory transfer within a few days of acquisition, followed by start of the sales process in own processes and systems
- Subsequently, introduction of SAP and complete integration into all company processes (my focus: logistics)
Successes:
- Restoration of sales capability within three days of formal acquisition
- Complete and seamless integration into own company processes
Special challenge:
- Integration of two corporate cultures
- Rapid restoration of delivery capability in own distribution network and own IT system
