Area of responsibility:

  • Program management (Director Operations EMEA)

Task:

  • Elimination of service problems
  • Establishment of the necessary infrastructure in the supplying plant in Spain (organization, buildings, production lines, IT support)

Measures:

  • Initiation of ad-hoc measures to stabilize delivery (including rental of external storage space, release of an additional supplier for packaging)
  • Analysis of the current process and identification of all weaknesses
  • Definition and implementation of a comprehensive package of measures (simplification of the product portfolio, change of the organizational structure and processes in the logistics area, optimization of SAP processes, expansion of storage and shipping areas)

Successes:

  • Service level consistently close to 100%
  • Readiness for future growth rates

Special challenge:

  • Consideration of special customer requirements regarding product labeling and packaging, resulting in high complexity
